Local solicitor is reappointed as Specialist Family Lawyer

Local solicitor, Edward Owen, from hc solicitors LLP, has been reappointed as a Specialist Family Lawyer by Resolution, the Association of lawyers who believe in a constructive, non-confrontational approach to all family law matters.

Edward was awarded Resolution's Specialist Family Lawyer status in 'Advanced Financial Provision I' and 'Pensions'. As the only lawyer in Peterborough and the surrounding area with 'Pensions' specialist status, Edward is particularly well qualified to handle divorces and separations involving the division of Pension funds and is an expert in the law and finance surrounding these issues. Edward's 'Advanced Financial Provision I' means that he is also specially qualified to deal with financial matters for families with limited finances - this balances the 'Advanced Financial Provision II' status held by Denis White, another of hc's family lawyers, which qualifies Denis to deal with finances for separating clients with larger assets and higher incomes.

Edward commented "Separation, divorce and disputes involving children can be among the most stressful times in people's lives. We are delighted to be accredited by Resolution to offer sensitive support and expertise in dealing with family disputes in a way that preserves our clients' dignity."

Hunt & Coombs is also a member of the group of Collaborative Family Lawyers which provide the option of managing the divorce process without court involvement helping to reduce the financial and emotional costs of family breakdown.
