From 1 October 2008, the vast majority of commercial properties in England and Wales will need to have a Commercial Energy Performance Certificate (Commercial EPC), before being offered for sale or lease.

This briefing note explains the properties that will be affected and how the scheme will work.

Andrew studied Law at Birmingham University and attended the College of Law in Guildford, qualifying in 1979.  Andrew has practised Commercial law since 1986 and specialises in all areas of Company law.

Anna attended Peterborough High School and gained her law degree at Hull University. She attended the College of Law in Guildford and qualified in 1988. Karen gained an LLB at the University of Nottingham before completing the Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School. She qualified in 1996 and joined the department in March 2005.

Peter has responsibility for hc solicitors' Oundle office, which he has succesfully run since 1986. Whilst sustaining a market town style of service, Peter makes expert use of our complex IT systems.

Ben qualified in New Zealand as a Barrister/Solicitor and was then admitted as an English Solicitor in 2005. Ben's dual qualification gives him an understanding of international law and allows him to practice in both New Zealand and the UK should the need arise.

Conway has been a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives (FILEX) since 1984 and specialises in Family Law.

Denis was educated at Xaverian College in Manchester and gained his LLB from Sheffield before attending the College of Law in Guildford, qualifying in 1976. Denis was formerly Chairman of Peterborough & District Round Table and was also Chairman of a local primary school Board of Govenors.

Edward gained a BA at Anglia University and attended the College of Law in Chester, qualifying in 1981. Edward is a member of the Family Court Business Committee. He is the only solicitor in the Peterborough area to have gained accreditation by Resolution, the leading UK body for Family Law, in dealing with the complexities of pensions in divorce settlements.

Farhana qualified as a solicitor in 1999 and has worked exclusively in Family Law in the Peterborough area since then. She has been a Trustee of Relate Peterborough and District since 2001 and held the position of Chairperson from 2003-2005.
