Hunt & Coombs are committed to keeping our IT systems secure against cyber-attacks with robust measures in place and we are delighted to announce that we have, once again, been awarded the Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation.

Cyber crime is a growing problem for all of us so it is vital to safeguard personal and financial information and remain vigilant. The threat posed by scams and online attacks such as data breaches and malware is growing and we understand how being a victim can be devastating.

We have systems in place to help protect us and ensure that the data we hold is confidential and secure. Getting the basics right is vitally important because vulnerability to simple attacks can mark you out as a target for more in-depth attention from cyber criminals and others.

What is the Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation?

Cyber Essentials Plus is a UK Government-backed, industry-supported certification scheme introduced in the UK to help organisations demonstrate operational security against common cyber-attacks and commitment to cyber security.

Achieving the accreditation involves an annual audit of our IT systems by highly trained assessors with the aim of confirming that baseline security standards and controls have been implemented.

Mandatory security awareness training

Alongside the Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation, Hunt & Coombs also makes it mandatory for everyone at the firm to complete online cyber security training, via the KnowBe4 portal.

At Hunt & Coombs Solicitors, our people are getting the most up-to-date and relevant support to ensure that our clients’ data is secure. We will continue to strive to stay at the forefront of cyber security so our clients can be confident that we are doing everything we can to protect them and us.

If you would like more information about what we are doing to protect us and our clients data, please contact us on 01733 882800 or email [email protected]. Or for further information on our legal services, please visit our business services or personal services pages of our website.
