Legal practice quality mark awarded for compliance, practice management and client care
Lexcel is the Law Society’s practice management standard for the legal sector in England and Wales. Achieving Lexcel accreditation involves undergoing rigorous independent assessment to ensure high standards of excellence in areas such as case management, risk management and client care are met.
Hunt & Coombs was first awarded the Lexcel accreditation in 2006 and we have worked hard to keep it since. The accreditation lasts for three years and each year we undergo an annual maintenance visit to check that we are keeping up our high standards.
It has had a positive impact on Hunt & Coombs in a number of ways – enabling us to attract new business; increase client retention; effectively manage risk; increase client satisfaction; achieve compliance with new practice rules and regulatory requirements; and increase efficiency.
Overall, the firm received recognition of good practice and a glowing report from the auditor making the hard work worth it. “The Practice should continue to be very highly commended for sustaining a very high level of compliance… Indeed, compliance remains deeply embedded within the ethos and culture of the Practice.”
