Update on the UnitingCare Partnership LLP

UnitingCare Partnership and the CPCCG are ending their contract

It was announced yesterday that the UnitingCare Partnership are ending their 5-year £800 Million contract with the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group (CPCCG) after just 8 months. The company has said that it is not “financially sustainable”.

Under the contract UnitingCare agreed to provide a range of Care Services in Peterborough and Cambridgeshire and responsibility for these services now returns to the CPCCG.

In a joint statement issued by CPCCG and UnitingCare Partnership LLP it was said that “We would like to reassure patients and carers that frontline services will not be disrupted.” “The CCG will be working with providers of services in the coming days to ensure that there is a smooth transition for all concerned.”
