Committed to safeguarding information from online fraud

Online fraud is a growing problem for all of us so it is vital that we remain vigilant and safeguard personal and financial information. There is a growing threat posed by scams as well as the growth in sophisticated online attacks such as data breaches and malware. At Hunt & Coombs Solicitors, we take this problem seriously and have systems in place to help protect us and ensure that the data we hold is confidential and secure.

We are delighted to announce that we have achieved the National Cyber Security Centres’ Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation again.

What is the Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation?

Cyber Essentials helps organisations guard against the most common cyber threats and demonstrates their commitment to cyber security. It is a simple but effective, government-backed scheme that helps organisations, of whatever size, protect themselves against a whole range of cyber-attacks.

Getting the basics right is vitally important because vulnerability to simple attacks can mark you out as target for more in-depth attention from cyber criminals and others.

The Cyber Essentials Plus certification gives organisations confidence that their defences will protect against the vast majority of common cyber-attacks simply because these attacks are looking for targets which do not have the technical controls in place. It shows organisations how to address the basics and prevent the most common attacks.

Compulsory security awareness training

Alongside the Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation, Hunt & Coombs also makes it mandatory for everyone at the firm to complete the CybSafe Certified Security Awareness Training – a course that helps people to develop their cyber security skills. The accredited course is certified by the UK National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) & the Chartered Institute of Information Security (CIISec) and provides people with a certified learning track record.

At Hunt & Coombs Solicitors, our people are getting the most up-to-date and relevant support all year round to ensure that our clients’ data is secure. We will continue to strive to stay at the forefront of cyber security so that our clients can be confident that we are doing everything we can to protect them and us.

If you would like more information about what we are doing to protect our clients data, please contact us on 01733 882800 or email [email protected]. For further information on our legal services, please visit our website (business services or personal services).
