National Minimum Wage and Statutory Pay
National Minimum Wage hourly rates
- Apprentice - £4.30
- Under 18 - £4.62
- Aged 18 to 20 - £6.56
- Aged 21 to 24 - £8.36
- National living wage for 25 plus - £8.91
Statutory Redundancy Pay
The statutory cap on one weeks' pay used to calculate basic award and statutory redundancy pay is to £544.
Employment Tribunal Awards
The maximum awards in the Employment Tribunal are:
- Basic award/ Redundancy Pay - £16,320.00
- Compensatory award - £89,493.00
- Guarantee Pay - £150.00 (5 days in any period of 3 months at £30 per day)
Statutory Sick Pay (SSP)
SSP is now £96.35 per week, it is paid by your employers and is for up to a maximum of 28 weeks.
Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP)
SMP is calculated at 90% of your wages (before tax) for the first 6 weeks and is now £151.97 per week or 90% (whichever is lower) of your weekly earnings for the next 33 weeks.
