Ailsa studied Law at the University of Northumbria and graduated in 2017 with a First Class degree along with a Masters in Law and the Legal Practitioners Course. During her time at university, she received a number of awards for her academic achievements, including a scholarship to study mediation at The City University of New York.
Ailsa joined Hunt & Coombs in July 2017 as a paralegal within the firm's Commercial Property and Corporate Commercial department. In February 2018, Ailsa began her training contract and completed her first seat within the firm's Commercial department. During this time she gained experience in assisting with many aspects of Commercial Property including the sale and purchase of freehold and leasehold property and commercial and residential leases.
Ailsa completed her second seat of her training contract within the firm's Wills, Trusts and Probate team. During this time she developed skills in the drafting of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Trusts, the process of obtaining a Grant of Probate and the subsequent administration of the estate and how to deal with care queries in particular assisting clients in obtaining NHS Continuing Health Care.
Ailsa returned to the Commercial team and has now started her final seat within the firm's Family department.
