Background

John joined Hunt & Coombs in October 2024 after being senior partner at Futter Chapman Family Law Solicitors. John has over 30 years’ experience in family law and specialises in the law relating to children.

John qualified as a solicitor in 1987 and since 1995, he has been a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel. This means he is specially accredited to work on complex care cases for both children and the parents of children involved in care proceedings or disputes with social services. John’s practice has involved him in numerous complex cases, some of which have been reported in the national law reports.

John is happy to take instructions from both parents and Children’s Guardians in care proceedings. John is presently based at our Peterborough office but can offer help at our offices in Huntingdon, St Neots and Cambridge.
