Sarah Rein BA MSc

Sarah Rein qualified as a solicitor in January 2020 and joined the Mental Health Team at Hunt & Coombs in August 2023.

Sarah graduated in English at University of Leicester and then did a Master’s degree at Edinburgh University. She then went on to complete her Graduate Diploma in Law at Oxford Brookes University. Whilst undertaking her GDL, Sarah started working as a paralegal for a mental health consultant, and continued in this role for a few years whilst also doing the Legal Practice Course at De Montfort University. Sarah then joined Campbell Law as a paralegal before undertaking her training contract.

Sarah has some experience of Mental Capacity law and Judicial Review. She gained Mental Health Panel Accreditation in March 2019, and has since represented clients at Mental Health Tribunals.

In her role, Sarah represents clients at Tribunals (both under civil and forensic sections of the Mental Health Act). After meeting with clients to take initial instructions and advise them as to their legal rights, she attends their Care Programme Approach (CPA) meetings, and also represents them at hospital manager’s hearings. Sarah also contacts their funding authorities to advocate for them regarding aftercare disputes where required.
