Olivia qualified as a solicitor in March 2017 and has chosen to pursue a dual specialism in both Commercial Property and Corporate Commercial work.
Olivia was educated locally at Peterborough High School and had her first taste of Hunt & Coombs in the summer of 2007 when she joined us on a work experience placement. This placement affirmed Olivia’s intentions to pursue a legal career and she went on to study for her Law and European Legal Studies degree at the University of Kent, with a year spent abroad at the University of Vienna.
Eager to return to Hunt & Coombs, Olivia rejoined us in July 2014 as a Paralegal in the Residential Property team. Olivia then commenced her Training Contract with us in September 2015 with a focus on Commercial Property and Corporate Commercial work. Olivia has worked closely with Paul Tate assisting on a range of commercial matters, and has amassed a solid foundational knowledge base from which to progress.
Olivia has experience assisting with all aspects of Commercial Property and high value residential property transactions, including:
- Sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties;
- Commercial and residential leases (including renewals, assignments and subleases); and
- Commercial and residential mortgages.
Olivia can also assist with a range of Corporate Commercial matters, including:
- Company formation;
- Reviewing and updating Articles of Association;
- General company law issues;
- Commercial agreements;
- Joint ventures; and
- Shareholders’ agreements.
Olivia has also assisted in a variety of corporate transactions including both share and asset acquisitions and disposals of significant family businesses. Additionally, Olivia confidently takes charge of our company secretarial service offering.
In addition to her work, Olivia enjoys serving on the Committee of the Peterborough Young Professionals which organises and promotes networking events in Peterborough and the surrounding areas. Olivia is also a keen charity fundraiser having taken part in a sponsored trek of the Great Wall of China, amongst other charitable pursuits.
