Philippa Isaac LLB (Hons)

Philippa Isaac LLB (Hons) joined Hunt & Coombs in August 2023. She is based at the Peterborough office working as a Criminal Law Clerk. Philippa graduated from Leeds Trinity University with a First Class Degree in Law in July 2023.

Philippa’s primary focus is client care and case progression within the Crown Court and other Complex cases and assists the Crime Team with:

• Meeting with clients, taking instructions and assisting to prepare their case;
• Taking witness statements and arranging their attendance at Court;
• Monitoring Crown Court dates and court listings, also liaising with the court offices and the client;
• Instructing Counsel to represent clients and liaising with them regarding the progress of the case;
• Assisting with the drafting of Court applications; and
• Securing Legal Aid funding.

Philippa is currently studying for her Solicitors Qualifying Exams and is a keen supporter of the Peterborough Young Professionals group.

Interests

In her spare time, Philippa enjoys reading a good book and travelling.
