For experienced lawyers across the firm

We are delighted to announce the promotion of a number of experienced and hard-working lawyers from across the firm. Since last year, lawyers specialising in commercial work, residential property, dispute resolution, Crime & Defence and family law have been promoted to associate in recognition of their hard work, dedication and service to clients.

Olivia Chalmers joined Hunt & Coombs in 2015 and qualified as a solicitor in 2017 after completing her training contract at Hunt & Coombs. Since then Olivia has pursued a dual specialism in commercial property and corporate commercial work and developed a portfolio of regular clients including established commercial businesses and high net worth private individuals who appreciate her pragmatic and down to earth advice.

Kashif Khan is a duty solicitor in the Criminal Team. He joined Hunt & Coombs in 2012 and qualified as a solicitor with the firm in 2014. Kashif specialises in representing a broad range of criminal investigations and has extensive experience representing clients in interview with the police, successfully negotiating out of court settlements and discontinuances with prosecuting authorities.

Sarah Morris qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in June 2015, having undertaken her training with us. Sarah specialises in real estate having joined the firm in 2003. She deals with all aspects of commercial property and high value residential property transactions.

James Pepperdine qualified as a solicitor in 2016 but has nearly 20 years of legal experience acting for individuals, businesses, developers, investors and other commercial entities both across the region and nationally. He specialises in all property related matters, regularly advising clients on all aspects of commercial and residential property transactions.

Jasdeep Rai qualified as a solicitor in 2014 and commenced his career with a commercial firm in Leicester before joining HM Land Registry as an in-house lawyer. He joined Hunt & Coombs in 2019 and has experience of both straightforward and complex contentious matters covering many different sectors. He acts for large companies and high-net-worth individuals.

James Steward joined Hunt & Coombs in 2014 and qualified as a solicitor in 2016. He specialises in all property related matters, advising clients on all aspects of commercial and residential property transactions. In addition to his commercial and residential property work, James was appointed Deputy Diocesan Registrar for the Peterborough Diocese In March 2020.

Elizabeth Thompson qualified as a barrister in 2003 and worked for Her Majesty’s Courts Service in both Family and Criminal Magistrates’ Courts in London and Cambridgeshire. In 2006, Elizabeth cross qualified as a solicitor and joined Hunt & coombs in 2007. Elizabeth is now a highly experienced advocate who specialises in family, crime and mental health law.

Pippa Woodcock joined Hunt & Coombs Solicitors in 2007 and has over 20 years’ conveyancing experience. She helps a wide range of private individuals, dealing with all types of conveyancing transactions from high value sales and purchases to first time buyers and shared ownership. Pippa is valued for her giving clients a friendly and personable experience.
